The King is Reigning in Zion

The future of mankind, according to the Bible looks like this:

The next event on God’s prophetic timetable is the rapture. Now I know this word is not found in the Bible, it is from the Latin word, rapura, translated, “caught up” and is found in 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17, “For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever.” 1 Corinthians 15:52, “In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.”

Following the rapture, the next event is seven years of tribulation, also known as the “Time of Jacob’s trouble” (Jeremiah 30:7). That event will be followed by a great battle, called the “Battle of Armageddon,” when the nation’s of this world will come together to try to rid the world of God and His people, but God will fight against them, Revelation 19:11-16, “Now I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse. And He who sat on him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war. His eyes were like a flame of fire, and on His head were many crowns. He had[e] a name written that no one knew except Himself. He was clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God. And the armies in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean,[f] followed Him on white horses. Now out of His mouth goes a sharp[g] sword, that with it He should strike the nations. And He Himself will rule them with a rod of iron. He Himself treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. And He has on His robe and on His thigh a name written: KING OF KINGS AND
LORD OF LORDS.”

The next event is, Satan will be bound for one-thousand years, bringing about one-thousand years of peace and prosperity on earth, with our LORD sitting on the throne of the world in Israel.

If you are a Christian, here’s just a sampling of what’s coming for you and me!

First, it will be a time of plenty. Joel 3:18, “In that day that the mountains shall drip with new wine, the hills shall flow with milk, and all the brooks of Judah shall be flooded with water; a fountain shall flow from the house of the Lord and water the Valley of Acacias.” Flowing streams will irrigate the land. The mountains shall be covered with vineyards. The well-fed cattle will give an abundance of milk. Everything we need will be provided for us. Poverty will be erased, and homelessness with be abolished. How can this be? The King will be reigning in Zion!

Second, it will be a time of absolute peace. Isaiah 2:4,” He shall judge between the nations, and rebuke many people; they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks; nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war anymore.” Isaiah 66:12, ““Behold, I will extend peace to her like a river, and the glory of the Gentiles like a flowing stream.” How can this be? The King will be reigning in Zion!

Third, it will be a time of great joy and happiness. Isaiah 66:1,11, “Rejoice with Jerusalem, and be glad with her, all you who love her; rejoice for joy with her, all you who mourn for her; that you may feed and be satisfied with the consolation of her bosom, that you may drink deeply and be delighted with the abundance of her glory.” How can this be? The King will be reigning in Zion!

It will be a time of holiness. Satan will be bound for a thousand years! Revelation 20:2,3, “He laid hold of the dragon, that serpent of old, who is the Devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years; and he cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal on him.” Zechariah 8:3, “Jerusalem shall be called the City of Truth, the Mountain of the Lord of hosts, the Holy Mountain.” Isaiah 52:1, “O Jerusalem, the holy city; for the uncircumcised and the unclean will no longer come into you.” Zechariah 13:1, “In that day a fountain will be opened for the house of David and for the inhabitants of Jerusalem, for sin and for impurity.” How can this be? The King will be reigning in Zion!

Behold He comes, riding on the clouds,

Shining like the sun at the trumpet call!

So lift your voice it's the year of Jubilee,

And out of Zion's hill salvation comes!

And we shall behold Him! We shall behold Him!

Face to face in all of His glory

We shall behold Him, yes we shall behold Him

Face to face our Savior and Lord!
